The summary above doesn't seem to be wholly representative of the service that NordVPN offers. They may not log traffic data, but they do demand billing information and they store it indefinitely. They do this for the sake of their non-optional automatic billing, and canceling that can only be done by email - there's no way to cancel your service via their website. When you do ask to cancel you need to go through a customer retention person first, just like a sleazy cable company or telecom.

That said, the service is very good on a technical level: tons of servers, good latency (on some of them), and while I had an availability problem now and then, there was always another server I could switch to that worked.

I'm giving three stars for being a mixed bag. Maybe that's a little harsh, the service itself was good, but there's no good reason to make cancelling your service that difficult.
